Daryl Eugene Clifton

Daryl E. Clifton, 69, of Lexington died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, 12:30 a.m. at the Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington. Daryl was born May 20, 1942 in Morgan County Ohio to Earenst and Leoma (Henry) Clifton. Daryl was united in marriage to Catherine Butrick on June 14, 1968, In Iowa. Six children were born to this union. The couple lived in Iowa until 1982, when the moved to Garden City, Kansas. Daryl was employed by IBP in the maintenance department. He was later transferred to the Lexington plant in 1989. Daryl retired in 1996. Daryl had been living at Park Avenue Estates in Lexington since 2009. He was a member of Lexington Christian Church. Daryl enjoyed fishing, going for rides in his car and having coffee at Kirk’s Restaurant. Daryl loved going for boat rides and working on boats. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. Daryl is survived by: Four Daughters: Jackie & Mike Shaw of Lexington, NE. Kathy Clifton of North Platte, NE. Dawn Castro of Memphis, Tennessee. Paulette Butrick of Uvalde, Texas. One Sister: Trixie Ball of Newport, Ohio Nine grandchildren: Kevin Clifton, Shane Clifton, Candis Shaw, Andrew Lucero, Dakota Shaw, Edith Abila, Anthony Clifton, Donna Alarcon and Elizabeth Lucero. Two Great-grandchildren: Gage & Isabella Clifton. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cathy in 2006, two sons, Troy Allen & Larry Dean and one grandson Daniel Clifton Abila. Visitation will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:30.am. at the Parkview Baptist Church in Lexington with Pastor A.L. Cole, officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Clifton family. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
