Sally W. Haller, 73, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, February 20, 2012, at the Lexington Regional Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Doyle and Phyllis (Nisley) Mingus. Sally was a 1957 graduate of Lexington High School and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Sally worked mostly as a secretary throughout the years, but her true love was painting. If she could have made a living with her art, that would have been her chosen career path. She also enjoyed music, books and movies. Sally lived several places throughout her life, but found that the beach and warm climates were her favorite places. In 1994, she was widowed and returned to her roots in Lexington to care for her ailing parents. She is survived by one son: Chris (Tanya) Arps of Lucas, Texas One daughter: Kathleen (Fabian) Maceda of Dallas, Texas One brother: David Nisley of California One granddaughter: Amanda Maceda of Dallas, Texas Sally was preceded in death by her parents. It was Sally’s wishes that her body be cremated. There will be visitation. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington with Reverend Caroline Vickery officiating. Memorials are suggested to Sally’s family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
