Minnie May Wolf, 88, of Kearney, Nebraska, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011, at Mt. Carmel Home Keens Memorial in Kearney.
She was born May 19, 1923, in Spalding, Nebraska to James A. and Rosa (Hemenway) Harvey. On March 18, 1944, she married Steven Lenno Wolf, in North Platte, Nebraska. He died on October 7, 1971.
She attended country school near Spalding, Nebraska and received her GED in 1986. The couple farmed in Dawson County for twenty-five years. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at a young age. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, which later became the United Church of Sumner. She was very active in the church. She was a counselor and served other positions at the Homeward Trail Bible Camp at Mason City, Nebraska for over 20 years.
Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed gardening, reading, writing letters and crocheting. She was a member of Park Valley Aid, and Kearney Christian Women’s Club, and the 1923 Writing Club.
She is survived by her daughter: Eileen Morgan and her husband Larry of Kearney, NE.
Three grandsons: Roger Morgan and his wife Keri of Kearney, NE.
Jeff Morgan and his wife Rachel of Holdrege, NE.
Dana Morgan and his wife Teresa of Kearney, NE.
Four great-grandchildren: Tanner, Eli, Avalon, and Rowan.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Marion; and infant twins, daughter Vivian and son Vernon.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church of Sumner-East Campus with Pastor Ken Hutson officiating.
Burial will be held prior at the Plainview Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Sumner or the Homeward Trail Bible Camp at Mason City, Nebraska.
