Harold Lantz, 80, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.
He was born March 22, 1931, in Dawson County, Nebraska to William L. and Mabel (DeVol) Lantz. Harold was a Lexington High School graduate and worked in the welding business.
Harold was united in marriage to Clara Hemphill on December 26, 1988 in Lexington. The couple enjoyed the past 23 years of married life together.
Harold was “one of a kind”! He loved to tell stories and jokes and always had an opinion about everything! He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, cribbage, and visiting with friends at the Eagles Club or the Veteran’s Memorial Club. He drove a stock car when he was a younger man.

Roger and wife Trish Houser of Cambridge, Nebraska
Two daughters: Mary and husband Richard Schodorf of Wichita, Kansas
Merna Nichelson of San Diego, California
One brother: Dean Lantz of Springfield, Missouri
One sister: La Vern Bean of Elwood, Nebraska
One grandson: Zachary; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandsons
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mike and one sister, Mildred Phillips
Harold’s family has honored his wishes that his body be cremated.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Lexington.
