Beverlye Dell Warnemunde, 91, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.
She was born February 13, 1920, at Harlowton, Montana to Edward and Della (Williams) Hepburn.
Bev attended schools in Montana and college in Missouri. She served as First Lieutenant, WAC, United States Army from Jun 4, 1943 until her honorable discharge on April 9, 1945. She married Captain Fred Warnemunde at University Methodist Church, Seattle, Washington on April 16, 1944.
The couple lived at Seattle, Washington, Rockford, Illinois, Davenport, Iowa, and Des Moines, Iowa before moving to Lexington.
They had one daughter, Mary, born March 16, 1952.
Bev was a member of the First United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter GR and Tri-County Shrine Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband: Fred Warnemunde of Lexington, Nebraska
One daughter: Mary Kriegler of Lincoln, Nebraska
One grandson and his wife: Alan and Katie Kriegler of Lincoln, Nebraska
One granddaughter: Melissa Kriegler of Portland, Oregon
One great-grandson: Carter Kriegler of Lincoln, Nebraska
Bev was preceded in death by her parents
It was Beverlye’s wishes that her body be cremated and no visitation.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Monday, August 1, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington, Nebraska with Reverend Tess Hufford officiating.
Inurnment with Military Honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.
