Ruben Morales- Manriquez

Ruben Morales-Manriquez, 73, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born June 12, 1938, at Col. Alvaro, Obregon, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Manuel Morales and Trinidad Manriquez. Ruben farmed and ranched his entire life and moved to Lexington, Nebraska to be near family in 1990. Ruben enjoyed time spent with family and loved horses, hunting and working with cattle. He will return to his home country of Mexico to be buried next to his wife, Virginia who died December 8, 2008. He is survived by two sons: Ruben Morales, Jr. of New Mexico Arnulfo Morales of Mexico Three daughters: Ana Maria Morales of Lexington, Nebraska Oralia (Daniel) Morales of Lexington, Nebraska Maria de la luz Morales of Kansas Eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jorge Canela officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Col. Alvaro, Obregon, Chihuahua, Mexico in the sementerio el benado. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011, from 3-5 p.m. with Rosary to follow at 5:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.
