Rosa Palacios Salazar, 56, of Elwood, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, Nebraska, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Elwood Care Center.
Rosa was born July 5, 1954, in Abasolo, Guanajuato, Mexico to Jose & Guadalupe Palacios.
As a young child Rosa’s family moved to California where Rosa would receive her primary education, graduating from high school in Watts, California.
Rosa was united in marriage to Ruben Salazar on December 16, 1986, in Glenwood, California. Two children were blessed to this marriage; Raquel and Ricardo The family moved to Lexington in the mid 1990’s, and for the past thirteen years owned and operated the Princess Bakery in Lexington.
She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Rosa was a devoted homemaker. She was very smart, funny and full of life. She enjoyed cooking, music, shopping, traveling & being outdoors. She also loved animals, especially her cat “Frisky.”
Survivors include her husband: Ruben Salazar of Lexington, Nebraska.
One Son: Ricardo Salazar of Lexington, Nebraska.
One daughter: Raquel Salazar of Lexington, Nebraska.
One Step-Son: Ruben Salazar Jr. of Mexico.
Three brothers: Juan, Victor & Edward Palacios all of Los Angeles, California.
Four Sisters: Reyna, Virginia, Teresa & Graciela Palacios all of Los Angeles, California.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Alvaro.
Private family services were held at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
