David Brian Crawford, 47, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.
David was born April 13, 1964, at Lexington, Nebraska to Jimmy and Marylin (Deeter) Crawford.
He was a graduate of Lexington High School, class of 1982. Following graduation he moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he trained quarter horses. David then moved to Rockwall, Texas where he trained and showed quarter horses. When he returned to Nebraska he managed and sold feed for Crawford Grain and at the time of his death was a self-employed farmer.
David was baptized and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington and a member of and past president of the Lexington Rotary Club.
His passion in life was quarter horses, spending time at the Johnson Lake, working in his yard and being with his children.
Survivors include his parents: Jimmy and Marylin Crawford of Lexington, Nebraska
One son: Thomas Crawford of Lincoln, Nebraska
Three daughters: Katherine Crawford of Lincoln, Nebraska
Molly Crawford of Lincoln, Nebraska
Emma Collins of Elwood, Nebraska
One brother and sister-in-law: Gregory and Nancy Crawford of Omaha, Nebraska
Three nephews: Jacob, Maxwell and Jack Crawford all of Omaha, Nebraska
David was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; Audrey & Babe Crawford and J. Roy and Edith Deeter.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with Reverend Caroline Vickery officiating. The casket will be closed at the church.
Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Rescue Unit or the First Presbyterian Church.
