Delores Eileen Potter, 72, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at the Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington.
She was born May 2, 1938, at Kearney, Nebraska to Henry and Margaret (Howell) Brisbin. Delores attended school all over the United States, as her father was in the military. She finished her schooling at Hastings, Nebraska.
Delores was united in marriage to Dean E. Potter on May 20, 1955, at Norton, Kansas. The couple moved to Lexington in 1955. Delores worked various jobs throughout the area and finished her working career at Dotty’s Diner as their baker.
She was a kind lady with a very warm heart and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to knit, sew, crochet, camp and was a “great cook”. She was active with her husband in the Pony Express Muzzel Loaders and the Gopher Smokers Muzzle Loaders organizations.
Delores attended church at Lexington Christian Church.

One daughter: Margaret (Harvey) Lane of Lexington, Nebraska
Two brothers: LaVern “Butch” Brisbin of Kearney, Nebraska
Doug Boyer of Mississippi
Three sisters: Shirley (Kenny) Schwarz of Elwood, Nebraska
Cindy (Jan) Lienemann of Gibbon, Nebraska
Rita Boyer of Kearney, Nebraska
One granddaughter: Traci Bruns and her friend Curtis Porter of Lexington, Nebraska
Four great-grandchildren: Christopher, Madison, Ryan & Ethan
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Dean in 1996; parents, Margaret & Chester Boyer and Henry Brisbin and In-laws, Ralph & Helen Potter.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Lexington Christian Church with Pastor K.C. BeDunnah officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 18, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Family for later designation. Cremation will follow the funeral service with Inurnment held at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.
