R. Michael Cochrane

R. Michael Cochrane, 51, of Norfolk, Nebraska formerly of Lexington, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at his home in Norfolk. He was born on December 20, 1959, in Lexington, Nebraska to Robert & Bonnie (Seevers) Cochrane. Mike attended grade school at Pershing Elementary and went on to Lexington Senior High School. Following High School, Mike worked various jobs and lived in Lexington before moving to Lincoln in the late 1980’s. Mike would live in Lincoln for several years before settling in Norfolk, Nebraska where he was attending classes at Northeast Community College. Mike was a true “Outdoorsmen”. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Mike and Monica loved spending time in Estes Park at Bear Lake. He liked to tinker with cars and bikes and loved his Harley Davidson. Survivors include his father: Robert Cochrane of Overton, Nebraska One sister: Patti and her husband Russell Crites of Elm Creek, Nebraska Two Daughters: Mandi Bosse of Madison, Nebraska Shawna Cochrane of Kearney, Nebraska Mike’s Life Companion and Best Friend: Monica Mittan of Norfolk, Nebraska Two nephews: Randy Harms Jr,. of Elm Creek, Nebraska Daniel Erpelding of Kearney, Nebraska Six grandchildren: Dylan, Colby, Isiah, Yasmine, AnnaBell & Jaime “Jr”. Mike was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Cochrane who died in 1985. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Reverend Katherine Bullard, officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Cozad Cemetery in Cozad. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
