Marilyn Joan Pearson, 80, of rural Cozad, Nebraska, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.
Marilyn was born September 19, 1930, at Arapahoe, Nebraska to John and Harriet (Pruden) Eich. The family later moved to Lexington where Marilyn attended, and graduated from Lexington Public Schools.
She later met Keith W. Pearson and they were married on February 6, 1954, the first couple to be married in the chapel at the new United Methodist Church in Lexington. This union was blessed with seven children whom she enjoyed staying home to raise.
Marilyn enjoyed many things that had to do with nature. She loved long rides around Johnson Lake, camping, gardening, and planting flowers. She also loved all her animals and going to parades and rodeos.
She enjoyed watching Nebraska football and wrestling. When Marilyn was able she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marilyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Jeremy Pearson of Fallbrook, California
Fourteen grandchildren: Stacy Eich, Mark (Kelly) Ward, Laura (Bill) Osborne, Edward (Barb) Scheuffele, Shaun (Sandy) Scheuffele, Cassie Scheuffele (Jack), James (Tanya) Pearson, David Maier, Joseph Pearson, Terri Pearson, Kathy Pearson, Michael Pearson, Patty Pearson and Annabelle Rose Pearson and many great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith W. Pearson; one brother, Lyonel Eich; one son, John R. Eich and one granddaughter, Tricia A. Scheuffele.
Funeral Services will be Friday, February 18, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverend Doug Smith officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
